This Holiday season I’m excited to be joining a group of talented bloggers in the Cheerful Christmas Home Tour to share our Holiday decorations with you. We hope it’ll inspire your holiday decor! If you’re coming from Wynn and Roo, welcome! The links to all the bloggers are at the bottom of this post.
This year Christmas for me is going to be very low key. I’ll be 3 weeks away from my due date, so I’ll definitely be staying close to home. My family won’t be in town, so it’ll just be me and my husband. The simple and low key mood has made its way into my Holiday decor as well and has me inspired by the simplicity of scandinavian design. I’m doing lots of greenery, few colors in whites, grays, and wood tones, and minimal decor. Of course, it is the Holidays, and I always love a little shimmer and shine so I’ve incorporated a few glam elements like lots of silvery metallics and some gold.
I also kept the holiday decorating to my family room and kitchen dining nook which are open to each other and skipped the formal living and dining room this year. Finally, if you’re wondering what’s missing in the photos below, yep, it’s the tree. I figure at 9 months pregnant putting up our 4-part, 9-foot tree was going to be too challenging especially since I want to relax and take it easy! Oh and the thought of taking all of it down in my last couple weeks or post-baby was a big factor in deciding to skip the big tree this year. Instead all the wreaths, stems and mini trees have me covered in the wintery greenery department. Scroll on down for my take on a Scandinavian Glam Holiday and how to Get the Look. And Happy Holidays to you and yours!
